About The Blog

After a lifetime of embodiment as a dancer, commercial actress, teacher and performance coach, I am excited to share the insights I've gained from these experiences.

I call it the bodymind because of the synergistic interplay of these key aspects of ourselves- the body's senses informing our thoughts and the subsequent bodily reaction resulting from those very thoughts. It's an exciting loop of information-sharing that shapes the way our DNA is expressed. We can actually choose our health and wellness, mentally and physically.

The bodymind, if understood and honored, can help us optimize our potential in every aspect of our lives.

Total Transformation Program​

This program may encompass a wide range of techniques depending on the individual’s abilities and desired outcomes. Personalized Optimization has at its heart that what is “optimal” is fundamentally a personal choice. 

Intended to be facilitated as a series, with cumulative layers of awareness and neuromuscular repatterning that requires reinforcement and repetition over time, but much benefit can be derived from just experiencing session one.

 

In Session One- the Fundamentals of the Bodymind Technique:

  • Breathing mechanics as a pivotal aspect of health and the motivation for all movement

  • Access and strengthening of the core as critical to efficient initiation of movement and balance

  • Visualization of directional energy to replace effort with ease (The Alexander Technique)

  • Conditioning for Muscular Balance and Metabolic Stabilization

Targeted Performance Insights Program

​This program is meant  to provide added perspectives/layers of awareness about already established activities or fitness regimens. It will begin with the same fundamentals as the other programs but will have a narrower scope relevant to the desired outcomes and personal goals.

  • Session One:

    • Discussion of activity-based goals/challenges

    • Breathing mechanics

    • Alexander Technique concepts and tactile reinforcement for energy efficiency

    • Muscular balance assessment and conditioning recommendations

    • Observation of activity segments with anatomical/kinesiological/alignment insights

The Targeted Performance Insights Program can be experienced as a single session or more than one session depending on the needs and goals of the individual.

Bodymind Business Balance

Groups/Organizations of 4+


Half/full day or week-long training events for developing strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills-supporting team empowerment.
